    Hi Stephen,

I thought it was fabulous, well acted, very atmospheric and a rare treat considering all the absolute crap on tv lately. Can't wait for my next portion.

I loved Chris (IT Crowd) O'Dowd's performance.

    Love,

    Caz

Yes, Caz, BBC costume drama expertise plus quite realistic sex scenes is something I don't remember seeing before. But the idea that a Victorian prostitute was aware of the literary scene in the 1870s seems pretty stupid to me though let's see what happens.

Tell me about it, Caz. This is a rare treat indeed. Here's episode 2 with a first for BBC costume drama ie the leading man getting his naughty bits out for the ladies .

Indeed, Stephen. Not one to be missed. I expect he'll get an award for it.

          Wonder where they'll pin it.

          Love,

          Caz

That's everyone else's loss then. And there's Richard E. Grant too! What's not to love?

Also, I can't believe how good brothel keeper Gillian Anderson's "Laahndon" accent is. Sounds like she studied Kat from Eastenders to perfect it.

              Love,

              Caz

She lived in London for a while as a child and was apparently mocked for having an English accent when she returned to America.

All in all a most remarkable lady, I'd say

Ah, that would explain it. Gillian spent her early years in Crouch End, while Jessie Wallace (Kat Moon) was in nearby Enfield, both in North London. Three years difference in age.
