Mais est-ce que je lui prends la tête pour ses free-base à l'ammoniaque ?

This thread is hilarious and oughta be a comedy routine.

A politically correct group rant was interrupted..........by an earthquake.

You're lucky the northern people have implanted in me a very devellopped sense of self-mockery, things that people tend to lack cruelly in southern parts

Ah, but you know I have a soft spot for British literature, my dear....and Camus isn't my tasse de thé...

You disappoint me, David. That's just childish.
Yes it is, absolutely. But that may be the only way to address some extremely childish posts.

The Japanese may well be absolutely wonderful people these days but not so long ago they were not quite so nice. In fact they were a bunch of brutal, sadistic, medieval morons.
Here I could use your words and reply that you disapoint me, Stephen. I just can repeat that this thread is definitely not the proper place for such a bold turn of phrase.
It happens that I read the memoirs of Olaudah Equiano last week, and reading it, I couldn't help feeling that our countries, ie England and France, have more blood on their shoulders than any other.
But are we to judge European civilization according to what we did in Africa and West Indies to black people ?
I'm afraid we are all "medieval morons", Stephen.
