and with all due respect david, since the first post I ever wrote here, you started to throw nasty little thing as reply no matter what I was writting, so it's not even about what I say or think, I could write that I worship Japan, fish soup and independentist groups from Corsica and hutchinson, you still would throw something nasty back, because that's what you have done since day one anyway without any foundation in it, and every time, you don't even devellop you just throw a short nasty little reflection for absolutely nothing about everything, as long as it's written by me, so in other words, it holds absolutely no value to me, now I'm sorry for not taking seriously words from a man who brags about how great japanese people are when this same person actually threw and very racistic comment about the arabs about 2 weeks ago... so stop calling me childlish.

    Man's Best Friend

We've all seen countless videos of the horrifying death and destruction in Japan; here's a little video with a happy ending involving man's best friend.

By the way, I got a brief message from my friends in Tokyo, the first news I've had since Saturday. No details, just that they're "still OK". I'm still praying.

    Best regards,

What do Nanking and Unit 731 have to do with this thread ?
    Shame.

Japanese are great and their civilazation one of the most refined.
This isn't a scoop from last week.

Hey guys... please let's make an effort to stop squabbling.

No human being and no nation is perfect, and every human being and every nation goes through their time of suffering.

Let's just try to focus our compassion on those who are suffering right now, wherever they may be.

    Peace everybody.

    So do I, Maria.
Thankfully, the posts Claire and Corey are referring to are both childish and laughable.

Against some things some posters rather rudely and without warrant have said, I am deeply saddened by the distaster. Some of my family live in California off the cost of San Francisco and I was truly scared for their safety for a night. Thankfully the damage to the west coast of the United States was minimal, but the same cannot be said for those in Japan and in areas in which the affect of the quake was greater. Instead of insulting those of the past, which I find distastefully immature, why don't we pray for those who have done nothing wrong?

Thank you for this thread Phil,

    Corey

I've never had the pretention to know everything or understand everything (or else I wouldn't keep asking questions all the time), or even to be the sanest person on earth, but at least I don't play the ostrich game, I wish I could remember that thing called "compassion"

Well, because there, you can legally buy child-pornography, all simply.
