I don't care how smug they are -they do far more than the usless /reckless/idiotic politicians.Story end of -for me
We're standing alone inside the night
      listen the wind is calling
to the dangerzone beyond the light
      and suddenly we are falling
But there ain't no stopping us now
I don't know if I'll be back tonight
It's just a machine inside of my head
and now all the wheels are turning
I'll think of the words we never said
and deep in my heart it's burning
But there is no stopping it now
      we're gonna make it somehow
      you wait tonight
and we're waiting for the light
Into the fire we will run
into the sound of distant drums
when you're walking alone in a dream
      on a highway to nowhere
      nowhere tonight

I would only pay a politician to do one thing - and that's walk off a cliff.

As much as I don't particularly like Chevy Chase, he gets a pass because of the absolutely brilliant "Fletch" and the not-as-good but watchable sequel.

Chevy was quite good in "Caddyshack" too, as was everyone.

And a very tall cliff at that!

We saw Black swan earlier tonight (which recently opened in Berlin). A particularly stupid movie. The morphing/slashy hallucinations parts (directed with such a heavy hand, that it was getting tiresome by the minute) were so over the top, telegraphed by loud “horror flick“ music, that they reminded me of Jennifer's body. It also featured tons of stolen ideas from old classics:
                - Filming Natalie Portman's back/neck from a close up with a handheld camera while she's walking on the street in a 60s-like coat: check. (Polanski's Repulsion with Catherine Deneuve in the exact same coat.)
                - Protagonist transforming into an animal by pulling out black feathers from her back: check. (Jeff Goldblum in The fly).
                And so on.
Black Swan's essentially a poor man's Repulsion mixed with The red shoes.
Plus not enough technical ballett for me, and Portman's arms were dreadful as a ballerina. Even Julia Stiles had better arms in Save the last dance. A good Hollywood actress who can dance ballett is Neve Campbell.
At least Mila Cunis is a cute chick. (And at least we went dancing afterwards, which was much more fun than the movie.)
