  • What Is the Most Famous Movie Line?

Well we have certainly had a lively discussion on what is the most famous movie scene and I thank every one for participating. Lots of different opinions and lots of great scenes.

Now the question is what is the most famous movie line? I'm going to say hands down "Here's looking at you, kid" from Casablanca.

    What do you think?

    Could be, c.d. Although..."Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."

      Hi Maurice,

That line has to be a contender no question about it. But I would argue that that line is famous because it is the last line of the movie whereas the here's looking at you, kid line defines the movie if that makes any sense.

This my opinion and to the best of my knowledge, that is, if I'm not joking.

"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." is technically from the novel.
                        - “My name is Bond, James Bond.“
                        - “You talking to me?“ (de Niro to the mirror in Taxi driver)
                        - “Make my day.“ (Dirty Harry)
                        - “I'll be back.“ and “Hasta la vista, baby.“ (The Terminator)
                        - "Greed, for lack of a better word, is good“ (Michael Douglas as Gordon Gheko in the original Wall Street movie)
                        - “'cause nobody puts Baby in a corner.“ (Dirty Dancing)
                        - “Harry, make the martini not too strong.“ (generic recurring line from many black-and-white oldies)
                        Best regards,
                        Maria
