You're quite right that our top order hasn't always fired, but then neither did yours in this match....how many runs has Paul Collingwood made for the series? About 50? Useless hack. As for Clarke, indeed he has made double figures - made 20 in our second dig just this match.
Ponting wasn't out, hence the "tantrum" as you call it was fine....shades of Michael Kasprowicz circa 2005 which cost us the series.
You see, you're trying hard to please the masses - it bothers me not in the slighest whether I look foolish or not, so long as the urn comes back to where it belongs. I'm certainly winning the banter war in any case, and have plenty more gems up the sleeve yet!
Now, on a decent note.....for the Boxing Day Test. I like the combination we have now but I would move Mike Hussey up to 4 and Michael Clarke down to 5, and strongly consider bringing in a specialist spinner in place of one of Siddle or Hilfenhaus, though Steve Smith may be able to fulfill that role.
As for the UN, for what it's worth....drop Collingwood, replace him with Tim Bresnan, bring Ian Bell up the order to 4, drop Pietersen down to 5 and bring Prior up to 6 with Bresnan at 7....more variety with the bowling attack then too. Like my thinking on this occasion, Monty?
And now, back to bask in the glory of sweet, sweet victory whilst you Poms wallow in your inferiority in all sports against us....
Don't worry Adam, that post above is locked away son, and will be used as evidence against you.
The defeat is no way near as heavy as the one we inflicted on you. Our poor performance seems to have attracted your attention, thus taking your eyes off the fact that your top order has NOT performed at any stage this series.
Katich failed. Watson gets going...then fails. Pointing fails and has a childish tantrum. Clarke fails...has he got to double figures yet?
The only bats you have who cause trouble is Hussey, Haddin at times and your bowlers.
I do hope you haven't shot your bolt too early again. You have made a prediction which made you look foolish, imbecilic even. You did a Ickle Wicky and had a tantrum when we destroyed you at Adelaide and said you won't come back (do I add liar to the list? Nah...too far). Now add that to the post above then, well, you aren't looking too dandy in the publics eye. That's why they love me more than thee.
Now you've won a game, well done, told you too keep the faith didn't I?, but remember you have merely drawn the series.
My shithouse team is more than capable of crushing your boys. We both know that, that's why your false bravado humours me.
Enjoy it whilst you can. It won't last.

Reason: Had to simplify it for an Australian
As much as I would love to show some humility and grace in victory....
SUCK IT, POMS!
Defeat by 267 runs, and the series squared.
Monty:
Will you admit now that your team is shithouse and that you are a total pillock for supporting them, and that you will now defect and become an Australian fan? Hand over the urn, sunshine. I said it before.
You're right that your batting was rubbish but then so was the captaincy - what was Strauss doing with three men on the on-side boundary when we were 3 for 60 odd in the second innings?!?!
Mike Hussey = superstar.
Steven:
Oh it'll be worth every second if we have the urn back at the end of the series.
As its highly unlikely I'd be around tomorrow, and as I fully expect Australia to wrap up the win (even they can't f*ck it up from here surely), I'd like to congratulate on a deserved win. Especailly after the trouncing they had the last test.
Johnson did well however one swallow and all that. Let's see how he fairs in the future. The key point was not knocking the Aussie tail over in thhe first innings. It added pressure later.
That said their top order has maintained they're reputation as being poor. We didn't perform fully this test, we need to sharpen up. Not by much though. We bowled below par but caused trouble. We've certainly established ourselves as the better fielding side but this is certainly our worse overall batting display this series.
Boxing day test is the key now. Ashes decider.
Monty.....teaching Adam how to accept defeat graciously instead of stomping off in a huff.
That's exactly why i'm not going to say, or predict anything which might jinx the team. Mind you, after your earlier mockings of Mitchell Johnson, it was fantastic to see him take....what was it again? 6-38, I believe?
Not to mention the fact that he's going to flatten James Anderpies into the turf very, very soon....
Steven:
Don't worry, I come clean on my bets. All bets will be completed/payed out at the end of the series.
I have to admit, I came perilously close to having what D.H. Lawrence would call "a crisis" when I saw this, amidst a UN batting collapse of epic proportions....
Cheers,
Adam.
Nice. Great to see our wonderful game can still stir the emotions. WG could not have put it better. Maybe that's why he had such a weird, squeaky voice...
Not wishing to burst your bubble, Adam (bubbles are beautiful but short-lived), but don't you owe us a rendition of GSTQ or have I missed it?

Well you see, being born in '89, my very earliest memories of cricket come from around the mid-90's when the Aussie team was really starting to become dominant, and the '05 Ashes series aside, up until the last 18 months or so, there's never really been any period of time when i've had to deal with regular losses and bad performances....so it's a bitter pill to swallow for sure, I won't deny it.
Hauritz is an average spinner. We need a good spinner - we're falling into the trap of what the UN did with Ashley Giles in '05, playing an average spinner who can bat a bit to bolster the batting. Bolstering the batting is pointless if you can't take 20 wickets. Personally I can't understand how Jason Krejza got dropped - takes 12 wickets on debut against probably the best spin players in the world, the Indians, plays one more test and gets dropped!
But you'll be laughing on the other side of your face when Michael Beer takes a bag of wickets on debut.
I won't even attempt to translate what "yersen" is....learn to spell!
He has been retired a year or so, still harking back to the good ol days when you had a decent team? Not the shower of Kangaroo dung you have today.
Monty is still better than any of the twirlies youre producing. Hows Warnies replacement doing, Hauritz? Overlooked again and flogged his gear in a garage sale.
He is a proud Aussie aint he? What is it with you Aussies? Always packing it in when the going gets tough. You yersen did that during the Adelaide test remember, when you got whooped by an innings and 71 runs.
