      Steven:

How about the Aussie version of GSTQ? You know, the "Rarely victorious, often inglorious" version?

Surely it's only fair that if the Aussies go on to win the series, you will in turn be singing "Waltzing Matilda"?

      Monty:

Could you please point out to me where Ian Bell got a ton in the first test? I must have missed that.

      Cheers,
      Adam.

Youre right Steven, 235.....see that Adam, 235.

          Hello, Adam.

I'd be happy to give you a rendition of Waltzing Matilda if the Aussies win but I doubt I've the technology to upload it. Will have to have a think. If I can suss out how to do it, you're on!

          Best wishes,
          Steve.

Yes, that's more like it. If I recall correctly, Bell holed out in the deep to the debutant spinner.....hmmm....
You'd want to hope your opening batsmen could bat on a road, otherwise you're in a lot of trouble.....

Meanwhile, second test starts tomorrow. I sense a UN defeat.

              Stephen:

              Excellent!
But do you know the words to Waltzing Matilda? Because I certainly don't know all the words to God Save The Queen at the moment....

              Cheers,
              Adam.

Come now, even you arent that deluded.

You're hardly in a position to talk about our attack, how's Mount Rushmore Face been travelling so far? You were talking him up as some brilliant cricketer before, saying how I was "twitching" at the thought of him coming over here, etc - what's he done? Bugger all.

Meanwhile, Day 1 is currently in progress, and once again The UN are finding it impossible to dislodge the brilliant Mike Hussey.....Onya, Mike!

                  Cheers,

                        Nice punctuation in that post.

                        Monty:

Ricky, the greatest batsman in the world, got an absolute peach - Strauss, on the other hand, didn't fare much better, did he? Except it wasn't a peach, just a really awful technique, eh?

Anyway, I shall refrain from making any further comment on the cricket or this thread from now on.....or at least, until the end of the test series. Enjoy!

Terndulka is better. As is Cook at the moment, and Strauss....and Trott....and Pieterson by the looks of it.

You bottling it Adam? Is it cos we are dominating thus far and the realisation that your team is by far below England that you are so embarressed and gone into hiding.

If this is the case then I'd be ashamed. Suck it up man and back yer team.....who are being slowly crushed right now.

                          Enjoy, I am so far.

                            Adam,

I know youre peeking....I can see you.

England win the 2nd Test to go 1-0 up in the series and not only that, they completely and uttterly dominated the Australians.

Adams 4-0 prediction is blown out of the water, again. Seriously mate, I warned you. I said we were a different team from last time. Hey, maybe you can bring Warne outta retirement. And Lillie too, maybe you can dig up Bradman.

That stench of Australian fear has just gotten stronger.

                              Hello Neil,

Yup, one way traffic I'd say.. but you DO bring up a point I seem to remember from the 70's..
bringing back a former Test Player.. although Brian Close was still actually playing cricket, they did revive HIS Test carreer for a specific purpose... and even introduced an ageing David Steele.. so why not bring Shane Warne out of retirement.. he can field at first slip as good as Katich did (and better than Clarke), he could bat better than Harris did (King Pair) and I am damned sure he would bowl better than the entire Oz bowling attack on memory alone!
(Just think of what turn HE would have got from that pitch!)

So Warne to play the third Test match? I'd love to see it.. they might have a chance of actually taking more than 6 wickets in an innings then!

1-0, three to go. That present Oz side is not capable of winning two of three matches. England's batting is way too strong, and the Oz fielding is frankly appalling. How many catches dropped in the last two Test matches is it?...

Ho hum... could be all sown up by Xmas!

                              best wishes

                              Phil

Warne was wavering 2005, by the next Aussie tour we were so poor we couldnt take advantage of that. Then he packed in, knowing he was on the decline.

Besides, do you think Warne would want to be associated with the worst Australian team for 30 years?
