Recently watched movies

I owe you an apology as I was mistaken. I have NOT read his Ark book, but instead I've read his Holy Grail book, where he goes on his adventure with the leader of the band Air Supply. From what I remember reading, NOBODY has gotten into the chamber where the Ark is purportedly kept in Ethiopia. I wish somebody would get in there so we'd know if it's really there or not, and whatever else is in there. I guess Graham and I are more curious than you!

Do you know the title of his Grail book? I'd like to read that.

If you're into Grail books, I just picked up "Grail Knights of North America" by Michael Bradley (author of "Holy Grail Across the Atlantic" which is awesome). I haven't gotten far into it yet, but so far it looks pretty good.

I honestly can't remember the name of the book right now. I'm not particularly a grail afficianado and I imagine most books about it are way off base, but I'll have to check out Michael Bradley's stuff. If the grail actually exists, and the ark really is in that chapel in Ethiopia, who's to say they're not together there with some other stuff? Are you opposed to someone getting in there and checking it out, Magpie? I think it's wrong of their government not to allow anyone else in. After all, it's not their right to 'own' such relics.

I just watched Borderland which was "inspired by" the Matamoros cult murders and is quite good. Be forewarned though, it is a horror film.

Velikovsky´s work was largely ignored by the man of science of his time like Isaac Newton.

Actually, Maria, given that Velikovsky was born nearly 200 years after Newton died, it's not surprising that they didn't see eye-to-eye I loved Velikovsky's books - they always made for stimulating reading, even if his ideas were controversial.

I think I saw this at my video store and dismissed it as another cheopo knock off, as most horror movies are these days. I guess I should check it out then?

I watched Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story and am sure it's the funniest movie since Talledega Nights. Even funnier than Superbad. Absolutely hilarious. The Mist was also pretty good, though not as funny. Daniel Day Lewis, who I'm not normally a fan of, was exceptional in There Will Be Blood.

It's sort of like a true-crime Hostel. So I guess it depends on what you think of that type of film. I wouldn't rate it below Saw on the cheap scale.

History is beautiful enough, it does not need frauds and liars.

By horror film standards, the Saw Films are big budget. I'm talking the shot-on-video trash made by a guy and a bunch of his friends and financed by their credit cards. Remarkably, these wastes of time usually have the best cover art and managed to get on the shelves of Blockbuster and Hollywood Video stores.

Hi Tom,

No, this is not a camcorder quickie. The only thing that bothered me some is the orange lens look that gets a little old to me. I first noticed this in Silence of the Lambs. All the actors look like they've gone crazy with the QuickTan. It seems the directors think this adds to the color.

I wish now that I'd watched it on iWear.

I love the Saw movies, and have several versions of each film.

My wife finishes work late tonight, and starts early tomorrow, so she is staying at her mums who lives closer than we do.
This means I have a massive movie collection and the dvd player all to myself, so after my son has gone to bed it will be a movie fest!!

No horror though, not if i am sleeping alone
