Well surely there are people who believe James Maybrick wrote it. Shirley Harrison has to date published several editions of her book since her original The Diary of Jack the Ripper appeared in 1993, all on the basis that Maybrick was the bloody fiend of Whitechapel. Followers continue to be heard from on these very boards and elsewhere on the basis of the case that she has made along with that made by the late Paul Feldman in his book, Jack the Ripper: The Final Chapter.

I just don't see much point in coming up with counter arguments on a message board (intelligent and logical or asinine) to an argument that isn't even being made here.

If and when some harmless nutter ventures in to claim that Shirley or Feldy solved the case, then fine - give 'em both barrels with my blessing. I'm sure you are not one of those whose counter arguments backfire and make 'em look like another harmless nutter.

It just seems like a totally pointless, if not self-destructive exercise to stand there shooting at nobody and nothing - especially if the ammunition is damp or defective.

Hi Capps,

Well I can't recall anyone posting any diary or watch photos on these boards since the new rules were brought in. Perhaps you could provide a link or cut the crap. This is exactly what I mean about posting fatuous rubbish when nobody is arguing for Maybrick the Ripper any more than you are arguing for Rasputin the Ripper. Since I don't consider Maybrick to be a legitimate ripper suspect, I'm more than happy for the "no value" rule to apply to such photos as well as yours. Just a word of caution: if the admin does see your "no value" waste of space photos and deletes them, or advises you not to post any more, take it on the chin, do what they say and don't answer back.

I think you'll find all that in the rules too, so I'm just trying to save you from finding out the hard way, like others have.

It should be pointed out that the rule is not that photos of no value cannot be put on Casebook, it's that photos of no value need to be hosted to another website, and can only be "mirrored" here. Cappucina's photos are mirrored, not hosted.

If you right click on the image, and check properties, you can tell whether an image is actually hosted on Casebook or not by looking at its location. If the location is not casebook, it's posted properly.
