I wonder who that could be - as if I didn't know.
Or are you just too busy or can't quite work out how to use the computer?
Come on Shirley, you can at least answer me.

    Steve Powell
    Dear Steve,

OK the answer to your questions are simple. I have no idea who told the so called "fraternity" that Feldman was dead. I guess that his family must have passed the news on. Neither have I any information on his burial or cremation - I was not involved in any way with his circle of friends. I met Robbie Johnson twice. I have absolutely no idea what happened to him or whether he was left in Spain.

No-one tells me what to do -I take advice from my agent of nearly 50 years. That's it.

Here are two suggestions for Steve.

I think it would be helpful to all readers of the Boards if Steve Powell could give us all a time-line - his picture of how events unfolded here in the UK after the Diary came to London. Perhaps he could go through chapter one of my book and explain briefly where I have gone wrong about the order of events and the people involved?

He is right that I did not respond because I am deeply immersed in my next book (not about Maybrick) and rarely look at the fantasies on the Boards.

    • You invented a complete hoax about a hoax to sell it and make money. You lied when you said you found a publisher interested in your story. You are publishing through a vanity press that would publish any trite piece of crap as long as someone paid them to do it.
Good point! Over to you, Steve....

At least the people who hoaxed the diary didn't slander their former friends and drag their name through the mud in their selfish pathetic attempt to be famous and make money
No, but they certainly slagged each other off, big time.

      Wishful thinking, I fear, Shirley.

        Shirley,

Please don't make us sit through another year of remembering, misremembering, creating, corroborating, collaborating, and alzheimer's. It was a painful process. Honestly.

Am I missing something rather important? Or is it the strong drink served in this Pub talking?

I didn't know anyone had established who 'hoaxed the diary' or who their friends were, never mind what they certainly did or didn't do to them afterwards.

I do know that anyone who can establish that much would be a poor fool to fanny around for an eternity with a vanity press, or make such claims here in Pub Talk, when they could have got themselves a relatively lucrative publishing deal to 'reveal all'.

            Hi Brian,

If you think it's 'good' to see people beat dead horses into glue perhaps you've been away too long at the wrong kind of website.

You may want to get your eyesight checked too, unless it's the beer here giving you the old multiplying eye. Only Stevie Baby is trying to flog a dead horse around here - the one he was sold to get his Nonsense Omnibus going. And the poor beast wasn't fit for feline consumption when he bought it.

            Love,

Well, it looks like some are chomping at the bit. Me, I've got saddle sores. An equine rack of ribs aren't clearing them up any time soon.

Aw, Gee-whiz, Ms Morris. Just struck me that Ally might have - I say might have - been referring to those folk in Liverpool, that's all. And slag each other off they surely did.

You slander every single person involved tangentially to the Diary and offer NOTHING not one single shred of evidence. Your "memory" of events changes every time the wind blows.

You are a liar and your book is a bigger hoax than the Diary ever was or could be. At least the people who hoaxed the diary didn't slander their former friends and drag their name through the mud in their selfish pathetic attemptto be famous and make money."
                  I didn't invent anything gal.
I haven't lied about anything either.
                  Vanity Press? Crap?
                  Wrong again.
                  Slander?
                  Nope.
                  Not a shred of evidence?

                  • Read your book? You must be joking. I don't have to. I saw the whole sorry story get practiced right here on Casebook. Including the time you couldn't decide whether you were going to slander Rumbelow or Feldman then when your butt got jumped over the mere suggestion that Rumbelow was involved, and of course, his still being alive and capable of suing you for slander, you decided to frame Feldman instead.

No I won't be reading your sleazy hoax Powell. I wouldn't put a dime in your pocket.

And what happened to me is the same thing that happens to everyone when they get fed up with liars and thieves. They quit putting up with it.

That most definately could have been the case .. no doubt about it.

                              • Don,

Thank you for that, and yes how could anyone possibly think that??

I too would be deeply 'shocked' should that thought occur to anyone ..
I shall just have to be a little more careful of how I come across now ..
because you have now mentioned this possibility, and bought it to light here.

                                Here goes ..
So that odd Steve Powell character that we have here .. well, I just think he is an old 'hippy' spaceman
who just doesn't give up on what he believes.

I hope this will put the bias balance back in some order ..
but not too much, he needs some support from the very 'unbiased' ones here.
