Well I'm fairly certain that movie footage exists as I have seen clips in a TV production. However it wasnt something the production company I worked for could aford. As Neil has pointed out copyright costs money.

Were family members given the victims' nonevidential belongings?

Does anyone know if there was any movie newsreel coverage of these crimes? I know this was toward the end of the newsreel era but if any was extant it could be an important find. I assume any TV footage, either tape, film or kinescope, has already been gleaned.

Hi everyone. There were nearly 7,500 workers past and present at the Heron Trading Estate that were interviewed. These records survive but are not available to be reviewed until 2065. I now understand that Seabrook spent 4 months reviewing all the files which led to the publication of his 2006 book. Scotland Yard have confirmed that no physical evidence survives which could lead to DNA testing. What they did have has been long destroyed. One of the sons of the one of the victims is waiting to see if he will be granted access to the files relating to his mother only. My forthcoming book: Who was Jack the Stripper? - The Hammersmith Serial Killer is almost complete. I have obtained 120 non-copyright photographs of persons and places involved in the story i.e police officers, coroners, pathologists victims, scenes of crime etc. I have also located 30 photographs with copyright belonging to Mirrorpix, Getty Images, Empics and Solo Syndication. These photographs cost between £62 and £65 plus vat to reproduce. I have secured sponsors to pay for 6 of these images. Mabye IRELAND knew the killer or killers and was full of guilt.Or was taken out by the killers after discovering what was going on.Ireland may have come across what was happening on the industrial estate.There was some talk about the girls being mixed up in porno movies.Now i think what we nowadays
call SNUFF MOVIES were being made and there were several people involved.

I believe that this is an avenue of thought followed by Neil Melkin. However, the police seem reluctant to let people view the original files. And exactly who was working on that estate at the time of the murders and with whom, there appears to be no record.

But I agree it would be excellent if someone who worked with Ireland or on the Heron estate at the time came forward. Perhaps some publicity might jog some memories?

However, remember that anyone of Irelands age group would be quite an age by now?

Our best hope is proper access to the original files, which I gather David Seabrook did not have the police full support in looking at, and do wonder if he had access to viewing everything?

My guess is, and it is only a guess, NO access to the files will given while Irelands wife and daughter are still alive. And I’m not certain that they should be given precedence over the children of the victims who have been conveniently forgotten in all this and have their right to ‘closer’.

I'm not certain that is completely correct. But i do stand to be corrected.

My understanding was that the bodies were stored in an electric Substation. This was opposite the car paint spray shop. However vents in the substation meant that tiny traces of spray paint got into the station leaving minute traces of a very specific paint. which is how the police phorensic team traced the garage.

In the electric Substation I visited there were underground pits with cables covered with boards. An almost perfect spot to conceal a body. However in a recent conversation with Neil Melkin, he was far from convinced that this was the correct substation. Although it was the only one I could find on the Heron Industrial estate and paperwork in the substation dated back to the 1950's.

Anyway more than interested in your thoughts Roaan, welcome aboard.

Hi everyone. I recently visited the Bridge Cafe at Westfields Road Acton and spoke to Gerry Marcangelo who was 19 at the time of the murder of Bridget O'Hara. She was found dead just a short distance from the cafe. Gerry and his brother Frank were working in the cafe in 1965 for their father who bought the cafe in 1962. (If you google neil milkins and click onto the link, Daily Star Sunday, you will see a story about the Marcangelo's and the the cafe's link to the Hammersmith murders and the connection between the cafe and Sir Alan Sugar's The Apprentice.) Gerry pointed out to me various locations connected to the the storing of the last 4 victims near the cafe. I have a picture of John du Rose pointing to the electricity sub station where the 4 bodies were stored. It was opposite Shaw and Kilburn's paint spraying shop and as Pirate stated, minute globules of paint spray entered the electricity sub station via 6 foot by 3 foot wire mesh ventilation windows. Both Shaw and Kilburn's and the sub station have been demolished although there is a smaller station just a few hundred yards away from the original. Hope all this is of interest. Regards Neil.

At the time, I do remember being a little creeped that this guy was out there killing women and the police couldn't find him or determine out who he was.

Food For Thought.victims Were Round 5 To 5foot 2in.so They Could Be Rolled In A Roll Of Carpet.and Hidden In Plain Sight.till The Murderer Could Move The Body,s.they Were Kept In A Car Spraying Garage As You Know.the Decomposing Smell Of The Body,s Was Hidden By The Smell Of Car Paint Which Give,s Off Alot Of Fumes.the Body Fluids Would Be Absorbed By The Carpet.the Murderer Is Still Alive And Was Well Known By The Working Girl,s.he Spoke With A Stutter.the Police Should Have Picked Up The Carpet Fibres On The Body,s.it Was Mentioned In One Of The Old Posts From 2005 Or 2003 About Some Of The Body,s Were Partly Mummyfied.that Was Because They Were In The Paint Shop For Awhile.it Is A Very Warm Enviroment.so The Murderer Is Someone Who Could Store Rolls Of Carpet In The Spray Shop Without Any Questions Being Asked.
