Hi Simon. Can't speak for Monty, but I'm anxious to read the entire issue. Were you involved in the writing of Trevor's article?

            Yours truly,

            Tom Wescott

Agree, it all looks fantastic, obviously thw wall writing article jumps out. I'm halfway through The Dracula Secrets, which has rekindled an interest in Tumblety, so I am looking forward to the article by the ever-entertaining Trevor.

So true DGB. I will be enjoying Trevor's article, even a pro-Tumblety guy such as myself. Let me see if I can say it. "You're right Trevor and I'm wroooo..." No I can't, but if he nails it I'll try! You're still not on my Christmas list, though.

                  Sincerely,

                    Hello Mike,

Not kidding here- but SHOULD that happen I believe the meaning of the gesture would show a very rare side in the genre- namely an acknowleged expert in a specfic area, laying his favourite theory and thoughts down. Opinions in the genre always have been entrenched.

Of course, it may not happen- but I have learnt, as Im sure you have, to never pre-judge or underestimate an underdog. One just never knows, does one?

                    Hello Adam,

I look forward to every Rip magazine. The quality over the last few years has reached a fine level, despite the opinions of some that the genre itself has never been of so poor quality. The irony is noted, especially as both "sides" of that "opinion" are established contributors to the genre and in my hunble view, enrich it.

With that in mind, Adam and his team deserve a hearty round of applause, for their work and choices of articles. I admire their stance. Well played that man!

                    Best wishes

                    Phil

                      Thanks Phil

We've been very lucky in attracting a large number of top quality articles, which of course inspires other writers to put pen to paper. Long may it continue.

Frankly, it's not about the name on the top of the article - great research is great research.

                      Best wishes

                          Hi Phil,

Would that mean I'm required to have Trevor on my Christmas list, as well?

I certainly concur with the quality of Ripperologist. A past concern about using the term 'Ripperology' could possibly relegate the study to the pseudosciences, but Ripperologist -as well as NIR and Whitechapel Society have certain guaranteed this will never happen due to quality scholarship. ...especially that Elixir of Life article last year. What a great job Adam. But seriously, it's awesome peer review.

                          Sincerely,

                          Mike

                            Hello Mike,

A Christmas card is always nice to get.
The pleasure, as you know, is in the giving.

I feel sure however, without any prior knowledge, that the article in question will be absorbing reading for us all...and as I said before, one just never knows. The title description by Adam is enticing enough to wonder....one just never knows, does one?

                            Best wishes
