If any of you have a Goodreads account, I'm doing a paperback giveaway there now that ends the end of March. Your encouraged to sign up. 364 people have so far, which is quite encouraging. I don't choose which 10 of those individuals receive the free copies.

I didn't include any photos because it would have driven the cost of the book up and since I didn't possess any photos or images not already familiar (or easily discoverable) to most people who'd buy this book, I didn't see the point.

Thanks Tom, I prefer the book option, the dinosaur that I am......

I do have a handful of Kindle books on my PC but don't have the patience to sit here and read them.
Anyone know of a method to transfer these books to my wife's ipad?

I think you can go to amazon on your ipad and download (for free) an app that will let you use Kindle on the ipad. I did this (or rather my girlfriend did this for me) on my cell phone. I don't have an ipad, but I can imagine that would be much more user-friendly for reading than the laptop. Although I'm very glad I can access and search Kindle books on my laptop. I have all the available and important Ripper tomes on Kindle and it saved me much time when writing. If only A-Z was on kindle!

There are Kindle readers for pretty much every platform! http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?docId=1000493771

I was doubtful at first how well I'd like it, but I'm completely in love with Kindle! I can carry an entire library around with me, anywhere I go. Kindle makes possible things like being able to own the complete works of Jules Verne - everything the man ever published - for $3. If that were hardcover books, it would fill an entire shelf, and cost thousands, I'm sure.

I downloaded Tom's book via kindle to my iPad last night. I have found kindle to be much easier to read than paperbacks theses days (Im getting older and my eyes aren't as good as they once were). I agree with Ginger the huge number of books available and at your finger tips . I am looking forward to reading Tom's book.

                Thankyou Tom, Ginger & Sudbury.

I guess I'm just not familiar with how Kindle works.
So if I download the Kindle app for the ipad it will automatically read the kindle books I have on my PC?
                Regards, Jon S.

You have to be sure that each device (the iPad, the PC, etc) are all registered to the same Amazon account. http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custom...deId=200911660 has more about this. If they're all on the same account, then you can share books, bookmarks, notes, etc., across your devices.

That's a good point, since it's Wick's wife's iPad. If she uses her own account then any books ordered on your Amazon account will not appear.

Agree 1000%, not agreeing that your a dinosaur, never, but I'll take the book every time, the only benefit of on computer, iPad, Kindle etc is searching and being able to access out of print books, but Tom's deal on the Kindle version when you buy the book means I'll end up with both.

Do I have to0 order the book and the Kindle at the same time, or else is there a time limit to order the Kindle after get the book, and [sorry for so many questions] do Amazon automatically apply the discount on the Kindle version?

You can still loan books to one another - https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custo...deId=200549320

Thank you so much I thought I had to use the Bride's iPad, to read her books. I learn so much here and not just about Jacky.

Hi Gut. The Kindle Match program means that if you've purchased the paperback through Amazon you can later purchase the Kindle edition at a discount price at any time you want. Unless at some point they end the Match program, but I don't think that would happen for a long while.
