It's just impossible to think they were two persons who experienced the same "adventures", on the same spots, at the same time, without noticing each other, neither Wednesday nor Friday.
    Exactly, David.

The articles from the 10th and 12th effectively preclude any other option besides the two advanced earlier in the thread.

"There was a young man, respectably dressed, (...) talking to a woman whom she [Kennedy] did not know, and also a woman poorly clad, without any headgear. The man and the woman appeared the worse for liquor..."
    Daily News, 12 Nov 1888.

Just add: what makes you so sure that there was no "Chinese whispering", or that Kennedy and Lewis were not the same person?

    Here's an interesting extract:

In connection with Mrs. Kennedy, it may be mentioned that she and her sister, a widow, were, on Wednesday night last, accosted by a man when they were walking down the Bethnal Green road.
    A widow.

Sarah Lewis was not a widow. She was married, so she cannot have been Mrs. Kennedy's companion. She could only have been Mrs. Kennedy herself in the Wednesday/Bethnal Green equation, thus cementing and crystallizing the fact that we only have two options to work with as far as Mrs. Kennedy is concerned. Either she and Lewis were the same person, or she had heard Lewis' account and passed it off as her own.

I can't see how any other option is even slightly viable.

Thanks Simon for pointing me in the right direction.

    Hi Ben,

I have no more idea than you.

But Mrs Kennedy was reported in the press as having stayed with the Gallaghers in Millers Court.

    Regards,

    Simon

    Marlowe,

    Are you talking about this?

"Mrs. Kennedy" does refer to having seen "the deceased", but the problem here is that the Gallaghers, Keylers, Vanturney and Owen can't possibly all have occupied the two small rooms opposite #13 between them. One of the parties must have been using aliases or, as mooted earlier, passing off genuine accounts as their own.

The second problem arises from the fact that the account only appears in the "Evening News", and nobody named Gallagher or Kennedy was called to appear at the inquest.

The Gallaghers were Mrs Kennedy's family.

    Hi Simon,

Who are the Gallaghers and where did they live in Miller's Court?

    Cheers,
    Ben

You are more and more funny.
You always say that you have no time to produce your evidence, but you are still posting.

    Hi All,

Sarah Lewis stayed with the Keylers in Millers Court. Mrs Kennedy stayed with the Gallaghers.

Has anyone found either of these families?

It might just settle the matter.

    Regards,

    Simon
