    Hello Pat,

The memorial stone shown in my photo was placed on Mary's grave by the Superintendent of St Patrick's between 1998 and 2003.

Before that a headstone bearing the legend "The Prima Donna of Spitalfields" had been erected by John Morrison but knocked down by an unknown assailant.

There are some lovely photos by Christian Jaud taken in 2003 posted on a previous Casebook thread:

    Best wishes
    Adam

This has to be the saddest recording, and I must confess I can no longer bear to listen to it :

Last monday's trip down to London and St.Patricks was a brief one but I will be going back again next month to pay further respect to Mary Jane Kelly.

Another revisit and to take more photographs as part of a research mission for my comicbook. I need to note down all the graves nearby that were present when she was buried. The burial sketch is possibly for the sole purpose of the obvious and implies a large area of open ground. The artist perhaps chose to ignore the other graves nearby
