My theory

I know I am going to get a lot of you telling just how wrong I am and I don't mind...I'm just throwing my own idea into the ring and if you disagree with me then I need a good comeback from you rather than anyone saying "What a load of rubbish"

I looked and stared at that picture for a good ten minutes, obviously I didn't enjoy it but Idid it to get an idea flowing.

I looked at the way the legs were layed out and I suddenly became aware that her killer had sex with her and killed her during the event. My view is that she taunted him, maybe because of the size of his penis or stamminer, and he went wild. Nearby he kept a knife while he was on top and then slit her throat.

From this, as I view, he paniced and decided to hide his tree in a forest....he carved her body up (post death).....Mary was not a Ripper victim, she was a victim of a client she had known for some while prior to the murders.


Right. I'm open for my theory to be torn apart with some logic and not a just a statement

First of all...stamminer? Second of all, no prostitute is going to taunt a client for the size of his penis or his "stamina". They aren't doing it for the pleasure, where the size or the endurance would matter, indeed, short and small would be a benefit.

But beyond that, prostitutes who make fun of their clients equipment tend not to get money, or repeat business, so it's not a likely or logical scenario at all.

Hmm, how many victims do you think this man had? Or are you referring to Kelly's killer? Could Kelly have been killed for some other reason, and then the killer decided to muck up the investigation by mutilating her? It's not impossible, but given that most people would be horrified by the very thought of doing such a thing, let alone actually doing it, it just doesn't seem very likely to me.

Ideas about them having had sex before the killing, or what sort of thing she might have said to provoke him are completely speculative. She couldn't possibly have done anything that would lead any sane man to do that to her, and you can come up with all sorts of reasons an insane man might take offense.

Ally, if there are any taunts it's of the ' NICE ' kinds such as ' You Big Boy ! ' ' You Tiger! '....Trying for an extra 2d. But mostly Silence and a fake turn of ' A Knee Trembler ' in the hope that they're so drunk they wouldn't know the difference.

Triston, I don't know what the pros charged back then but I would suspect that because Kelly had a room and a bed she would possibly charge more than for a quickie in a back alley. If so, then I doubt she would be demeaning her John especially because she was behind in the rent and she needed money. Barnett couldn't help her, nor could Hutchinson. I understand what you're saying about a motive for Kelly's murder but IMO it isn't likely. Unfortunately for Kelly, she ran into Jack.

Whoever did that to Mary was, at least temporarily, as mad as a box of frogs. What I cannot even begin to grasp is why anyone would really really really really really really really really really really really not want the ripper to have been that singularly nutty box of crunchy frogs.

It's been getting like a bleedin' frogs' chorus round here lately and I can't wait for the tide to turn again and get back to some semblance of reality.

I would imagine that the best way to mutilate some one to that extent would be to be situated between her legs so that you don't have to worry about changing hands while he was having his fun! it wasn't anything to do with the act of sex it just made it easier for JTR to do the most damage with the least effort and noise!

My theory...

...is that Mary's pet crocodile annoyed him so he put it on the table, made it snappy with the mutilations and took her heart to feed to his pet snake, Ramsbottom.

There's a clue there to the name of my pet suspect.

Oh murder. This would have to be one heck of a sharp knife he just happened to have hanging around on the offchance someone insulted him so grievously that he'd have to do what he did. The position of Mary's body was simply (simply, but awfully) due to the fact that it needed to be positioned like that for the killer to access the things that he did.
