    Hello Lynn,

After falling seems after the fact. I can see one scream but three seems a little strange since the deed had already been done.

Given the language problem and the fact that his statement was given through an interpreter, maybe we are taking the word scream too literally. Could it have been more of an "oooh" and relating more to surprise?

      possible

      Hello Cd. Thanks.

"Could it have been more of an "oooh" and relating more to surprise?"

Of course. But she still needs to be IN the yard and BSM needs to be behind her NOT face to face.

      Cheers.

It was actually one of the doctors who admitted that he had spilled the cachous.
Ah yes...I just checked out the Inquest accounts in a number of papers including the Times, Morning Advertiser (to keep Wickers happy), and the Telegraph...I mention these because they seem the more reliable...

All say that Bagster Phillips claimed to have taken the cachous out of her hand, all oddly have, on recall, Dr Blackwell claiming to have done so. Of those I checked, only the Telegraph has Dr Blackwell admitting on recall, that he'd spilled them...I was beginning to wonder where that had come from!

If nothing else these Stride threads are making me go back to look afresh at the primary and secondary evidence!

        All the best

        Dave

          Hello Dave.

"If nothing else these Stride threads are making me go back to look afresh at the primary and secondary evidence!"

Exactly. And that's where my epiphany began.

          Cheers.

            Hi Lynn/cd

Perhaps the screams are muffled because of a hand over the mouth, or by the tightening of the scarf...I certainly see in them nothing that would discredit Schwartz - there is evidence to believe that the Police retained there belief in him until at least 6th November.

I agree translation might be an issue here, but suspect ooh ooh ooh is probably out...unless you're claiming her swedish ancestry were more simian!

Perhaps they were more sobbing cries than piercing screams?

            All the best

            Dave

              Hi Dave,

Some sounds are a lot harder to spell than others.

I'm so awfully sorry to hear that Lynn...have you sought medical advice?

                    Fanny

                    Hello Dave. Thanks.

"Perhaps the screams are muffled because of a hand over the mouth, or by the tightening of the scarf."

But he was up; she, on her "fanny" when she screamed.

                    Position, position, position.

                    Cheers.

I fancy that I have lived to such a ripe old age since I shun medicine, doctors and hospitals. (heh-heh)

But we can't be sure he was standing erect Lynn...he could've immediately stooped or followed her down regaining contact with her...which could even explain WHY she screamed at that immediate moment...

                              Hi Dave,

You are probably right that she was on the ground when she screamed but if you reread Schwartz's statement that is not completely clear which is why I started the thread.

                                taking a tumble

                                Hello Dave. Thanks.

"he could've immediately stooped or followed her down regaining contact with her...which could even explain WHY she screamed at that immediate moment..."

Then Schwartz missed that. And BSM had taken the tumble BEFORE he called out "Lipski."

                                Cheers.
