I´m with you half the way, C.d - but to me she may just as well have been alone to feel at ease. No need for any client at all. The only thing that counts is that if she took her cachous out after the altercation in the entrance to the yard, then she would reasonably have been enough at ease to do so for some reason. And BS man could, as has been shown, have fit that bill perfectly.

    The best,

Not at all. I would envision something more along the lines that after I.S. is scared off he pulls Stride into the yard(against her will, obviously) and murders her. And then bolts before mutilations because he is interupted by L.D.
Well...Abby.....the cart fella pulls into the yard around 1am.....the time supported by Mortimer who hears him pass.....and if Schwartz's story is true.....then he kills her around 12.45 as Mortimer is at the door just after and doesn't see or hear the attack.....so if BS Man is the killer.....then the cart fella is not the person who disturbs him.

why do you think I.S. fabricated his story
A woman at the door....there between....roughly.......12.45 and 12.57 sees nothing.....

No one in the vicinity hears of this attack.....mind you...conveniently....Stride is being attacked and affords her attacker the courtesy of not screaming very loudly....give Stride her dues.....she's an accomodating victim!

Schwartz's story is an odd one.....why chase someone down the street who is already hurrying in that direction....not only that.....Pipe Man must have stepped aside to let him go before chasing.......if the objective is to get Schwartz out the way of the scene....well he's already going that way.....if the objective is to chase him and attack him.....then Pipe Man had his chance when he stood further up the street and must surely have had the opportunity to block his path where PM desired such an event....

Shouting Lipski outside of a Jewish club would be like shouting the IRA outside of a loyalist gathering......a lynching would be on the cards.....

JTR isn't walking up to people tapping them on the shoulder and then attacking them on the path......this would seriously reduce the chances of meeting the objective...mutilation...and there was no need to do that when a little conversation would have done the trick.....

        1/2

        Hello CD.

"To me, the cachous indicate that Liz is at ease and with a client, i.e., Jack"

Well, I halfway agree. She is at ease.

        Cheers.

          that's right out

Hello Mac. Well thought out. His story is odd indeed. It is redundant EXCEPT it means, reading between the lines, "Whatever else happened at Dutfield's yard last night, no anarchist Jew killed Liz--that's right out. Perhaps a drunken gentile bully?"

          Cheers.

                  tone

Hello CD. I think what will eventually facilitate agreement--besides careful argumentation and forensic reconstruction--is the mild tone adopted in threads like this.

                  Notice the absence of insults?

                  Cheers.

Hey Lynn, I have something for you:

By the by, just FINISHED a darn project with a lot of paperwork, and about to cook something nice for dinner – at the very civil time of 1.30 a.m..
                    I'm living the healthy lifestyle!
                    Best regards,
                    Maria

                      take heart

                      Hello Maria. Cute.

Go eat some proper food--like haggis.

                      Cheers.

Haggis? Now that's what I'd call a Ripperologist's food. Sounds about as appetizing as an autopsy!
I had pasta with tuna and shrimps with a nice French rosé, which explains the light drunkness! I was about to go to sleep now, but more communication from my boss in Chicago, so I have to tend to this. But after that I'll sleep, and in a few hours I have to get up.
                        Goodnight, all, and
                        Best regards,
                        Maria

Haggis wonderful stuff! Venison haggis is particularly nice.
                          huh?

I've heard of Venison meat, but not Venison haggis. Oh, ye Scotts!

                              Hi Mike

Are you sure the venison haggis is not your mind telling you because it's venison it tastes better? After all it's the lites of the animal they use, heart liver etc, and I'd expect those organs to taste pretty much the same in all animals.

                              all the best

I'm not sure that haggis is so beneficial for the consumer's own heart and liver!
