That really sucks Rob. having purchased and read your excellent book I can only say that its really too bad that this field is seemingly beset with parasites and losers that are only out for a buck, the truth be damned.

Their true colors usually come out in the end, but unfortunately not before they muddy the waters for the uninformed and general public.

I so hope the police get involved in this and make some arrests and then hopefully we can go back to discussing some sane and sensible theories.

    Truth the 1st victim.

I think the 2006 one was when they were after Deeming.

"The circle is now complete. One of the greatest unsolved crime mysteries of all time has been solved through cutting edge science, historical research and a great deal of determination and good fortune. Aaron Kosminski – Jack the Ripper – has been placed, once and for all, at the scene of Catherine Eddowes’s horrific murder."

Are they allowed to assert such conclusive proof in the face of overwhelming evidence that the tests undertaken were fatally flawed? Surely that's misrepresentation? Edward's result has not been subject to any peer review or independent 3rd party testing so it's simply the word of a 'businessman' who's decided he's right and says the case is proved. That's not the way it works.

Still I suppose it's cavat emptor at the end of the day.

This things stinks like a 127 year old, cut-up, unwashed shawl !

(I reckon Edwards could work miracles on the Turin Shroud)

The provenance is an interesting read

"According to the vendor's family history ..."

    Well that proves a lot

Apparently every item offered for sale comes with a "Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity." It would be interesting to see how the shawl's guarantee is worded.

We need to crowdfund and buy this shawl to get it tested properly.

The ‘big cotton pants’ were dated to the late 1890s with a 45.5in waistline and embossed with ‘VR’. They were in ‘excellent’ condition, having been preserved in tissue paper.
