    Bermondsey

Hello Simon. Thanks. New one on me.

So the police did not buy Bermondsey either? Good to know I'm not the only skeptic.

    Cheers.

      confusing

Hello Phil. Thanks. Your reasoning is clear enough. Don't know what to make of this story.

As Inspector Sidney Wang expressed it, "Is confusing."

      Cheers.

So it seems Kate obtained her money by "other means", and she told John her daughter had given it to her. Apparently then, Kate did not wish John to know the truth.
It would appear from John's own statements about Kate that she kept him in the dark concerning her ability to obtain money when they were desperate.

          truth

          Hello Jon. Thanks.

"So it seems Kate obtained her money by "other means" . . ."

Do we know that she obtained money at all? I see no evidence for that.

" . . . and she told John her daughter had given it to her."

When did she do this? Apparently neither John nor Kate knew where she lived.

"Apparently then, Kate did not wish John to know the truth."

Apparent? Well, all that seems apparent to me is that John wished that the police/inquest not know the truth.

          Cheers.

Aren`t you constantly asking how she got pissed. That could be evidence that she obtained money?

keep reminding yourself, Lynn, that these are common lodging house dwellers living on the edge. We don`t know what dishonest day to day stuff they got on with just to survive.

              Hello Jon. Thanks.

"Aren`t you constantly asking how she got pissed. That could be evidence that she obtained money?"

Well, it's evidence that SOMEONE had money. But why Kate? Whence the dinero?

"We don`t know what dishonest day to day stuff they got on with just to survive."

Indeed. And that is PRECISELY what I'm on about.

              Cheers.

That`s as close as we`ll get to knowing, mate. Frustrating, I know ... but we need answers not questions. It`s fruitless pointing at possible scenarios and holes in newspaper reports, we can all see them but we need to bring the answers to the table not questions.

Indeed. And that is PRECISELY what I'm on about..
Exactly, any answers please ? Not speculation or possible scenarios or we`ll end up as insanus as Perry Mason or Phil Martyr... you`re in a different league to them.

                  Hi All,

Interesting that no traces of alcohol were reported in Eddowes' body.

                  Regards,

                  Simon

Lynn, when I you`re in a different league to them, I meant you have brought stuff to the table (and not that you`re like them!)

                      Q & A

Hello Jon. Thanks. The questions must always precede the answers.

Mike and Phil are good friends. I am pleased that you include me.

                      Cheers.

                          Hi Phil,

                          OK, I'll bite.

                          What's the significance of 187?

                            Liz?

Hello Simon, Phil. I thought it was Liz where no malted liquor was found in her stomach?

                            Cheers.

                              Hi Lynn,

No mention at all; not the merest whiff of demon drink, which is surprising seeing as Eddowes must have been fairly three sheets to the wind when allegedly arrested in Aldgate at 8.30pm.

                              Regards,

                              Simon

                                oversight?

                                Hello Simon. Thanks.

Could that be an oversight? I recall the dictum--much bandied about at inquest--"she smelled strongly of drink."

                                Cheers.
