From 1869, a H.N.Twombly was the treasurer of the New York College of Homeopathic medicine.
I've only done a cursory search, I can find a Horatio Nelson Twombly who was a trader in Asia.
Probably nothing,just the name and institution struck me, not my area of research, but I thought it might interest Tumblety investigators.
