      At first glance it appears the letters have different handwriting.

      In letter one, there is the word "liberal" Capn'Jack mentioned, although used in a different context. An oblique reference to Sickert's politics?

        The letters are in different handwriting and are undoubtedly from different persons, neither of whom was Sickert.
