      It looks like Albert Steptoe.

Hmm? Shabby genteel. Drinker. Misogynistic. Local to the East End. Had a horse and cart.

Does anybody see a torso to the right and down from the white line? Like arms, breasts, ribs?

Yes, I can make those out too. There are other indistinct marks on the wall further to the right of those which may or may not be something else.
Why a four-year-old child could understand this report! Run out and find me a four-year-old child, I can't make head or tail of it.

I can now. When I first looked, it looked like a man holding a baby (I've tried to fill in the outlines I was seeing below):

These cloud picture games are fun. I recall years ago having found all sorts of different shapes and things in various versions of this image I've seen posted. I rather suspect none of them are visible in the actual photo though, and a lot has to do with aliasing during the digitizing process.

I thought that we had a new suspect but….damn….Picasso was only 7 at the time.

Does that definitively rule him out though, Herlock?

The ventriloquist looks like H.H. Holmes.

                          Seriously though!

Here is the Kelly photograph which seems to show nothing at all.

I don't think that there's any mileage in these Rorschach exercises.

I'm slightly disappointed in Cornwell if she is putting this forward to back up her Sickert theory.
Whether you agree or disagree with her theory, there is no doubt that she has raised some very interesting questions re Sickert.

If it was drawn by Sickert, you have to wonder for what purpose? Was he thinking "I'll taunt the police by leaving my calling card. Of course, it will take a hundred and thirty years or so to be discovered and will require computer enhancement."
