fortune
Hello Jon.
"So we have a killer who brings this cloth to the murder, leaves it there and cuts another piece of cloth from her body to carry away the organs...."
Quite.
"Well, someone's insane to come up with that idea, not sure if it's the killer or the author..."
Insane? His gift shop will make a fortune.
Cheers.

No mention of the fact that it was part if Eddowes' apron that was found , covered in blood and faeces... Where was the shawl supposedly found? And are we really meant to believe a bobby asked to take it home as his wife was interested in dressmaking? Also AK would have been 23,surely way too young, five years younger than the lowest eye witness estimate...

GUT, I couldn't agree more - if the case has been scientifically solved - and the jury has to be still very much out on that - then please don't try to weave all of this spurious, speculative and unscientific nonsense about the Michaelmas stuff into the story.
The chances have always been that whoever JtR was, he was no more than a sad psychopath who had no thoughts of conspiracies, leaving "clues" or anthing like that.Allen

choice
Hello Harry. Thanks.
"If the shawl IS the genuine article and shares (mitochondrial) DNA of Eddowes AND Kosminski, then that's pretty compelling at first glance."
That he was with Eddowes?
"However, I'm no science wiz, so it could turn out to be a load of old bunkum."
Never forget, this was also done with Walter Sickert.
Question: Why did this shop man choose Kosminski rather that Druitt or Tumblety?
Hmmmm.
Cheers.

Just so.
