  • Are these pictures of Aaron Kosminski?

    Hi all,
I've been revisiting Kosminski to try and learn more about him, as well as the shawl business, which I admit I only have a passing knowledge of. Anyway, I was browsing Ancestry and came across a couple of photos claiming to be of Aaron Mordke Kosminski (born 11 September 1865 ).

The first one allegedly shows Aaron (seated), Isaac, and Matilda Kosminski.
The second one is a colorized photo of Aaron.

    Are these legit?

I would suspect no one knows for certain. The bottom one, the man standing is rather similar to that A.I. rubbish floating about though...

The standing man in the group photo could well have been the starting point for the rubbish AI image Russell Edwards is claiming '100%' to be Aaron.

The seated man, who you say is claimed to be Aaron, has a different jaw structure to the Aaron in your first photo, which also looks quite AIish to me. However, it's possible that the seated figure could have been the starting point for your pic 1?

Call me suspicious, but the whole caboodle looks a bit fake to me (even the group photo has an artificial feel about it), especially when you consider that the Isaac I know about was quite a bit older than Aaron, whereas, (if you haven't got your Isaacs and Aarons mixed up) the Isaac standing in the group photo looks a lot younger!
For now we see through a glass darkly, but then, face to face.
Now I know in part, but then shall I know even as also I am known.
