Hi Cog. If I'm the worst bully the Casebook has to offer, then these are indeed banner times for the boards. And for the record, I don't mind being called a blowhard, but never a redneck. You would appreciate why I say that if you spent some time in Oklahoma and saw some REAL rednecks.

But just for the record, I can't recall having violently attacked anyone because I didn't like their view on something. In fact, it has been a very, very long time since I 'attacked' anyone on the boards..period. You have admittedly been reading back many years on the boards recently and me thinks that maybe five years worth of posts read in the course of a couple of months have given you a skewed view of what's going on in the here and now. In other words, you suddenly jump my arse for citing a rule, because you caught some posts I wrote on a bad day five years ago and it pissed you off. Are you picking up what I'm throwing down?

And thanks for the comments about the book I'm writing. I'm even amazing myself with it. And it will contain all of Monty's unseen photographs.

The "bully-boy scare 'em off" tactics don't work, as has been seen yonks ago.
The belittling tactics don't work. The ignore tactics don't work. There is a list but I can't remember what the rest are.

Its an old and worn out record.

You and I for example dont agree about Le Grand, but I'll give you one thing.. it isnt Kosminski, Tumblety and Druitt regurgitated ad infinitum.
That is what the essence of the problem is, as Simon has said.

I saw an article title the other week.. "Montague Druitt, the suspect that just wont lay down" or something like that.
No new evidence... but more regurgitation. Its 125th coming up.. and you can bet your backside someone is lining up something to do with those three, and Sickert, to cash in.

Stop discussing all the tired old crap we've been regurgitating for the past 125 years.

Come to our senses and realise that SY's finest were not necessarily telling the truth.

Stop swapping ill-informed opinion and knuckle-down to some serious research.

That would be a giant step forward.

Yes, I totally agree..., but you know and I know it won't happen because some people have a vested interest it seems in keeping the wheels on the wagon going around and around in perpetuity. Until that rubbish stops we get nowhere. Until the mould is broken from within the inner circle.. it will carry on and on, and some will be laughing and derising at all attempts to try to stop it.

No humor/humour. I'm sick of hearing that the Casebook posters are a bunch of bullies who chase people away. AP Wolf chased Hutch away five years ago. It's time we move past that, or at least find another example, since AP doesn't post here any more either. And Cog seems to have made it his personal mission to slap wrists around here, so since there are 'too many people here who will viciously attack any point of view, etc', I want him to name just ONE...one poster who logs in for no reason other than to viciously attack every other poster, and who remarkably doesn't get dinged, suspended, or banned for it. With so many options for him to choose from, this should be an easy task.

With respect I guess the medium always was theirs to choose, so, not being funny, I don't entirely understand the point you're making...

Leaving that aside, in your view, is there anything us average, run-of-the-mill, everyday posters can do (without infringing on normal human rights) to ensure that the diligent and conscientious researchers in our community don't get hammered?
