I have been thinking about the photographs we see of traditional Jewish families around 1888 and have noticed that then as now, a Jewish male from an orthodox Jewish family would have worn a prominent and thick, beard. So unless Aaron was very rebellious and refused to wear a beard or had secretly joined the young Jewish radicals like the ones who went to the Berner street Club , it seems very likely he too wore a beard. And yet we hear of no description of a man seen in the vicinity of the murders who sported a beard;not from Elizabeth Long [Hanbury St sighting],Joseph Lawende [Church Passage sighting] or PC Smith or Israel Schwartz [Berner St sighting].In fact nobody mentioned seeing a man wearing a beard in the vicinity of the murders.
I believe Aaron Kosminski would have been much more likely than not to have worn a beard, like other young, traditional Jewish men, in 1888.
