Hi Mike,

There was, as you note, a light above Ms. Venturney's room (#1), but the dialogue between Kelly and Cox amounted to a passing exchange of "goodnights" and barely constituted a "while". I don't think there's any reason to infer a physical mismatch between Hutchinson and Blotchy, and there's certainly no evidence that Hutchinson was more likely to have worn ties that Blotchy.

The witness Prater?,is reported as saying that when she (Prater)went to her room,the court was in complete darkness.So although a light may have been situated in the court,it is probable it was not lit that night.Not an unusual situation,I would presume.
