      • Hi Fisherman,

Kenneth Branagh as Wallander is bollocks. Far too much style over substance.

I quite liked Krister Henriksson until he started sleep-walking his way through the role.

But you still haven't answered my question -

Why do Swedish doors open outwards?

        Regards,

        Simon

Not all do, actually. But generally, you are right. Couldn´t say why, though. Because we´re bad company...?

I´ll try and get an answer for you!

            All the best,
            Fisherman

            • A quick check hints at it makes the doors harder to kick in! Don´t know if we ought to trust that one.

                Indeed, Simon, why ?

I've got the same problem with the doors of my Volvo.

                • Hi Fisherman,

You could never be bad company.

The door thing is no big deal. It just seems odd to foreign eyes.

                  Regards,

                  Simon

                  • It was Ben who referred to plumbers, a few posts ago. No credit here I'm afraid. I was simply pointing out that plumbers had no need of common lodging houses.

I actually think plumbers are irrelevant in any case.

                    • Hi Sally,

                      Thank you.

Can you explain why you believe plumbers had no need of common lodging houses?

                      Regards,

                      Simon

                        • I just had the best laugh in a while reading some of the posts Ive missed since my last one......if the man was a full foot taller than almost anyone else around, how in the world would it not be mentioned by people describing him? As if I would meet Shaq and only tell others that he was a nice fellow with a large shoe size...instead of noting where the top of my head came to on his chest.

Any argument that denies that logic is irrelevant.

                          Cheers

                          • Right you are, Mike.

There are two things we can be sure of :

                            1 : Joseph Fleming wasn't a giant.

                            2 : Joseph Fleming wasn't a dwarf.

And we can safely speculate that he had two arms, all his legs, and more than one eye.

                            Cheers

David, the purpose of the inquest was not to ascertain how many arms he had.

                              Mike

                              Mike.

Certainly Fleming/Evans had two legs, but MJK's ex wasn't the same individual, and had three.
