  • Scientific data on sleep and Druitts cricket match data proves his innocence

    The explanation is simple:

1 of Montague Druitts cricket matches took place the day following the night of the Annie Chapman murder. The game started just 8 hours after the murder. Druitt would rather clearly have wanted a whole good night of sleep preceding the day of his match if he was to want to be able to play up to his whole potential.

Either Druitt could not have been the ripper or he chose to play cricket while sleep deprived. The data and records clearly show that Druitt was not sleep deprived when playing cricket that day. Therefore, Druitt could not have been the ripper.

You’re joking surely, I’ve played all sorts of sports after a night of no sleep,

i appear in Court frequently after a night without sleep,

if that your only “proof of evidence” hang him now.

I’ve only just noticed this thread.

You surely can’t think that this is proof against Druitt.

As GUT said you can do almost anything if you’ve missed a few hours kip. They’d have to close down the hospitals for a start with doctors and nurses doing crazy hours. You might have had a reasonable point if Druitt had won the middle weight championship of the world 6 hours after Kelly or he’d beaten the World Chess Champion in a particularly complex 6 hour game but......come on.

My pub cricket team would often matches when sleep-deprived and hung-over. Mind you, we rarely won anything.

Roger Bannister, the Englishman who ran the first sub-4 minute mile, said he competed that day with a bad cold.

Besides which, the Ripper was known to be a scoundrel. Just the sort who'd risk letting his team-mates down by playing without sleep!

              Been there Sam

Maybe this is why England are so inconsistent?

                And

Bert Trautmann finished the 1956 FA Cup with a broken neck!

Tiger Woods won the 2008 US Open on a broken leg and a torn ACL (whatever one of those is?)

ACL stands for Anterior Cruciate Ligament. It is the main ligament in your knee. If you see a soccer player rolling on the ground in great pain and holding his knee he probably tore his ACL.

I should have added that an ACL tear takes about a year of extensive therapy to recover from and some athletes are never really the same after an ACL tear.

Or more likely he’s just play acting.

                        Thanks for the info c.d.

I’ll never be the same after discussing the case with certain posters on the Druitt thread.

... or trying to milk a penalty.

It's been known for people to leave their house and drive their car etc. Even to kill people.

Maybe he commited these murders while sleepwalking?
