What did Jack the Ripper eat?

Does anyone know what Jack the Ripper ate?

I wonder if his diet somehow influenced his behavior?

Half kidne marinated in spirit of wine. I think his behavior influenced his diet though.

It's in the "From Hell" letter. He says he fried it, but I have a theory that it was half-baked.

Yes that may have been after his kills, but I was referring to what he ate for breakfast, lunch and dinner on a regular basis. This possibly could have made him the homicidal maniac that he was. Was it stale bread that he ate?

Also there is no proof that the from hell letter was written by Jack the Ripper, nor any proof that he ate said organ.

Quite right, and good point. I dunno what he would have had for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Do you know what he ate for dinner? I don't think that he would be able to afford steak or anything fancy. Maybe he wasn't getting enough vegetables in his diet and he got scurvy after his last kill and that is why he was never heard of after that.

I lol'd. I hope you're joking. I know poor diets can affect a person's mental state, to a degree, but I doubt that what he may or may not hate ate had any influence over his homicidal tendencies, let alone rippings. Unless he harvested the stolen organs because he was on the brink of starvation, or that he upped the ante with facial mutilations due to being testy brought on by hunger, lulz. Who knows.

As for the question itself, it's impossible to know, but assuming he was from the same socio-economic group as his victims I'd say he would've eaten whatever he could afford, and that would imply, I'd say, all kinds of things. So he probably didn't eat the same stuff on a regular basis.

There were all kinds of fruits a vegetables available although sometimes not as fresh as desired. If JTR were in the position of the victims the chioce would be very sparse. He probably stole most of his food off costermongers.

There were also butchers but the meat might not be as fresh sometimes either.

For a place like London though there would have been all kinds of foods available. And if paying good money very fresh foods.

And there are some who say Jack ate out of the gutter but no shred of proof could ever be thrown on that.

The words "scraping the barrel" come to mind.

Unless you are one of those people who believe that JTR was Aaron Kosminski.

ok I'll be the one to ask the obvious question

If we don't know who he is, how the bloody hell are we meant to know his dietry preferences?

If you don't know what he ate then please refrain from this sort of attitude.

You mean the logical attitude based on reason and common sense? Yeah let's all refrain from that. Stupidity is much more fun.
