Hi Observer. This thread is for all photos of the East End, not just the old ones, so you'd be putting them in the right place.

      Rob, Philip,

Has work progressed much on the Harry Gosling School?

      Just outta interest.

Haven't the foggiest. I'll be having a wander round at some point next week, so I'll have a butchers then.

These were some postcards of the Seaside Home that were up on eBay.
This is the second one opened in 1893 in Portland Road, Hove. Just above the entrance it says 'erected 1892'.

I hope the residents of The Seaside home got on well with each other. Just look at how close all the furniture is!

....if any of them decided to get out of bed at exactly the same time they would have banged bottoms!

Are we sure those aren't pictures of the Sailors' Home?

Hardly a fair identification - all those policemen squeezed round the tables and Aaron outside having his dinner in the road. He stuck out a mile.

                      Hi All,

Meals at the Seaside Home were bought with Truncheon Vouchers.

                      Regards,

                      Simon

Hallo, hallo, hallo. What's going off here?
