What did the copy-cat killer copy?

Added to which in the annals of crime, there has never, as far as I know, ever been a case where someone has tried to make their murder appear to be that of a serial killer as a way to deflect suspicion . It's the stuff of Hollywood fantasy.

We do know cases though where murderers changed their own habits to make it appear as if someone else committed the crime. To throw off the scent.

Why is it so impossible that a killer would mimic another madman at large to also throw off any scent?

Clearly, if a killer is of a sound mind he can direct the investigation of the police anyway he chooses by the actions he takes, he can mislead everyone...if someone has it within them to kill, why couldnt they also be persuaded to do more than that so as to deflect suspicion?

Chapmans killer took her life because he wanted to cut her open and take her uterus. Its the senior medical position on the apparent motivation for that murder. Can we also say thats why Eddowes killer did his deed...for her kidney?...or MJK's killer, for her heart?
