I think you've arrived at the most reasonable conclusion, Bridewell. I, too, am unwilling to give up Lawende's description of the man he saw with Eddowes. Besides, if Eddowes was so tuckered out that she could only make it to Mitre Square before needing to sleep, why didn't she just stay in her cell at the Bishopsgate cop shop?

Good point about Kate Eddowes and her (reasonably) warm cell at the Bishopsgate Police Station. I wonder why she was so anxious to leave if she had no clear idea of where she was going - not a topic for this thread though, I guess.
