Has anyone ever considered that a family with the surname "Juwes" may have been living on that staircase of the dwellings?

I'm serious? is there such a surname in the records?

Possible, but given the fine toothed comb applied to the census records, etc, over the decades it is unlikely such a name not being noticed. That is not to saya connection wouldbe made, but the possibility would have been noticed. Maybe. Kinda.
