The detective department at New Scotland Yard are engaged in making enquiries as to the author of a letter received yesterday by Mr Mead, the magistrate at the Thames police court, signed Jack the Ripper. The letter stated that Jack the Ripper had again arrived in London and would shortly resume operations. On the epistle was the outline of a coffin, drawn with blood or red ink, and in a piece of tissue paper was a portion of dried liver.
