Hi agent (Michael Cohen) has just been on BBC Radio 5 Live now talking about how much charity work he did. Confirms that he passed away at around 6pm. Nothing on major news sites yet.

I cant believe it.
He was so full of life at the Wolverhampton Conference.
Everyone at the Whitechapel Society will miss you, Jeremy.
Glad you were able to make out December meeting.

The one good thing about this is that Jeremy is now out of pain. He was just amazing at Wolvers and the Christmas WS1888.
And I'm sure that if he could, he would let the gang know on Saturday night who the d...ed ripper was!!
Sleep tight, Jeremy.
Love,
Caz

* Such speculation is little more than childish, for there is no evidence to support one view any more than another.

I doubt I will ever forget that the first words I ever spoke to Beadle were to persuade him not to do the elephant joke with his trouser pockets. And that's exactly how I want to remember him.
Top bloke. We're all going to miss you.

This is terribly sad news.
I thought, after knowing about Jeremy's previous serious medical problems and knowing that he seemed to fight them all valiantly, that he would surely do so again. Especially after seeing him so full of vigour at the WS1888 meeting a mere month ago.
His passing is a great loss, in MANY ways.

Only just caught this on the news.
Very sad news indeed.
I was lucky enough to grab a few quick words with Jeremy at last October's conference in Wolves and he was a thoroughly nice chap. He will be sadly missed.
RIP Jeremy
