Hi Maria. 'Cougar' means older women who go for younger guys.
Yours truly,
Tom Wescott
I find that whole concept disgusting especially now that I am too old to benefit from it. I remember when I was in high school and picked up some spending money by mowing lawns. A couple of my clients were attractive married women in their thirties. I always had this fantasy where I would go to collect my money and they would say" I don't have any money right now but perhaps we could work something out....."

Didn't stop her trying to get me to dance every 2 minutes though!
Wow, totally missed this! Where was I all the time during this? (Probably refilling my wine glass...)
I remember that at some point I was dancing to punk rock with Caz and Lisa. I don't remember if it was The Clash or The Stoogies. It was definitely not The Sex Pistols.

Trevor probably had every cougar in the place on him. Lucky he got out alive!
Is “cougar“ the same as “Sheilah“ (or chick)?
Actually Trevor got terribly abused by Lisa, when she said “My completely ineffective assistant to the right, in the girly-coloured sweat“ – I thought that was so mean!

I agree that Andrew's photo 'from the speaker's POV' is excellent, although to be honest my view was a little more blurred by panic!
If panic there was, it didn't register at all with the audience, Trevor!
Actually I think sometimes speaking in public while sitting down is worse than when standing up, because sometimes the way the chair and desk are arranged, it kind of “cuts“ through one's diaphragm and alters one's voice (or maybe it's the stress). Standing up offers more freedom of movement, but sometimes one ends up too faraway from one's text and doesn't see it too well (or just maybe, it's the stress again). But I thought it so funny that sometimes the equipment reacted to your commands by voice (when you said “Sit!“), and then sometimes it didn't. Unpredictable dog!
By the way, did you already take the (I'm so sorry, but do they call it “memorial plaque“?) to the cemetery for Coles? I would have loved to visit that cemetery.

welcome to my life Maria....drink cheap drinks every saturday night and hate the smell or sight of alchol all week until say thurs, when the pining begins again. then come saturday...bang...cheap drinks whoooo. until the cycle starts all over again when i wake up hungover hating alcohol.
it is quite bad, especially in supermarkets where i regularly pick up 4 cans for like £3 on the way home from work just because its cheap. no other reason apart from that. state-induced alcoholism ha.
Almost everyone I know from the UK under 49 (apart from a few very serious, librarian-types) leads that lifestyle. For me as I work “freelance“ I don't really follow the “work all week – party all weekend“ routine, and I even try to avoid going out on Saturday night, unless there's something specific going on. Sometimes it's like “working all weekend - party on Wednesday“...
Oh my God, the picture where Caz and Lisa are dancing and I'm on the phone, whatever on earth happened that I look so FAT and like if I had a HUGE potbelly? I most definitely don't, people, please believe me, and the pictures where we're walking on the street totally prove it. (Or maybe it was all that wine from the “pay 2 glasses, get 1 bottle“ pub deal accumulating in my stomach?!)
By the by, did you notice that it's just the chicks complaining about the pictures (“I swear I look so much better in real life“, “I hadn't done my hair before the pictures, “I forgot to apply make-up“!)
Please, Andy, please, don't post any more pictures of me! (Unless I look like a Goddess.) But “The view that the speakers at the conference had when delivering their talks“ was a very original thought!
Oh, and just so everyone knows, I was NOT inquiring about Laura Prieto because I wanted to hit on her. LOL. Just curious because she was about the only face I didn't recognize who wasn't named.
