I must admit I'm curious as to how Jack got into Hanbury Street and out again without being spotted...
1.Seeing where they came from, were they the couple seen at the end of the passage?
2. What time they entered?
2. Did the police miss part of their beats?.
3. What route the killer took from the square and the time he left?
4. By how much did the police miss him? or is it possible he was seen as he left?
5. Did Morris open his door while the killing took place?
With regards to Hanbury street, several possibilities including:
1. Killing took place at the earlier time suggested, so the street may have been less busy.
2. He just walked out, confidently and noone noticed him.
3. Was he known at the address, so no one would question him being there.
We could also put to bed, theories with regards to the time of the murder, and which, if any of the witnesses were telling the truth.

Yet it was broad daylight by that time .
Just can't see it myself .Dozens of people in rooms overlooking the yard readying themselves for work ...You can lead a horse to water.....

It is often said that it was broad daylight, however a online check of sunrise times for 8th Sept 1888 in London shows that was from 05.24-05.26, twilight starting about 30 mins earlier.
So while it may not have been dark, it was certainly not broad daylight either.
Funny how we all accept these statements, I checked it when there was a Richardson thread after Christmas.
So agreed it would have been risky, but we have the 3 witnesses, whom must all be disposed of, who put death at this time.
1. Cadosch saying he heard something, which could have been the murder or actually someone stumbling literally onto it, but keeping their mouth shut.
2. Long saying she saw a couple who may or may not have been Chapman.
3. Richardson, claiming no body at 4.45, is testimony has been questioned and he has been considered a suspect himself.
Of Course we also have Dr Phillips suggesting much earlier.
THE CAMERA would solve that once and for all.

I think I'd like to hang out in Buck's Row and try to record what the carman did or didn't say to Constable Mizen.
It would also be interesting to take a peek inside Mary Jane Kelly's room and see what the furniture arrangement was, and if any drawings were on the wall.Pat D. https://forum.casebook.org/core/imag...rt/reading.gif
