I don't think that there's much reason to suspect Aaron Kosminski beyond that there's a good chance that he was a police suspect and that he lived in the heart of the area where the murders occurred, but those 2 things alone make him a better suspect than most for me. For me, the shawl business neither strengthens nor weakens his suspect status.

Fair points Lewis C. However I regard the proven violent murders James Kelly and of course William Henry Bury as the best suspects. And regard them both as far better suspects than Kosminski. Having said that most of the suspects are poor. Perhaps I was going over the top with my comment about the Shawl business you are correct it neither strengthens or weakens Kosminski's status as a suspect but it's a total dead end. It's clearly not the real deal.
