Is that in reference to Kosminski?

The image shows him without a full moustache, but more like either 5:00 shadow or he's so young that he isn't yet able to grow a moustache. The face looks rather young too, though I suppose that a 23-year-old could look that young.

Not sure I get the fascination with Kosminski as a suspect. Admittedly he was named at the time. But firstly there is nothing else suggesting guilt and secondly we don't even know we have the right Kosminski. Also all the Shawl business does is lessen his suspect status in my mind.

              Hi John,

I don't think that there's much reason to suspect Aaron Kosminski beyond that there's a good chance that he was a police suspect and that he lived in the heart of the area where the murders occurred, but those 2 things alone make him a better suspect than most for me. For me, the shawl business neither strengthens nor weakens his suspect status.

Fair points Lewis C. However I regard the proven violent murders James Kelly and of course William Henry Bury as the best suspects. And regard them both as far better suspects than Kosminski. Having said that most of the suspects are poor. Perhaps I was going over the top with my comment about the Shawl business you are correct it neither strengthens or weakens Kosminski's status as a suspect but it's a total dead end. It's clearly not the real deal.

                Cheers John

I believe it was Michael Crichton who once pointed out that you believe what the media says until the media publishes a story on something you're an expert on.

I agree that the shawl is a dead end. We don't even know that it really was her shawl, and I think it's more likely that it wasn't. And the DNA test on the shawl can only exclude a suspect, not identify one.
