      That's funny. I'm actually reading this book at the moment.

      I'm only around a third of the way through, but can post thoughts once I'm done.

      I saw that Rob Clack (whose books I love) had slagged it off in an Amazon review, so I approached it with low expectations.

      If I'm honest I'm actually quite liking it though.

      There are a couple of small errors and Steve is no literary giant (sorry Steve - but I don't think you're going for Tolstoy on this though anyway?!) but it is a really engaging read, and the premise of considering how modern day investigative techniques would be applied to the murders is fresh and new.

      So far, I'm pro.

      Purists may disagree (and I predict they will).

      I'll be interested to see what Herlock and Pat think when they have read it too.
