  • What would it take?

I've asked something similar but it was quite some time ago. I would like to re ask this question if I may? What would it take to solve this case where everyone is satisfied? Is it even possible to solve with what we have considering today's technology or would it take discovering some great new item to solve it? If so what would that item have to be? Again, is it even possible?

    Not possible.

There are two ways to be fooled, one is to believe what isn't true, the other is to refuse to believe that which is true.

Hitherto unknown artifacts from a victim, with usable DNA? Oh, wait....

A handwritten confession (of sorts), hitherto undiscovered under some floorboards? Ah....

Hidden messages in famous works of art? Hidden messages in famous works of children's literature? Jeff bloody Mudgett?

In all seriousness Clark, it's unsolvable. So little survived, there's more questions than answers. Never mind solving the case, try getting us to agree with each other!

Over the last 16 years I have accumulated more than enough circumstantial evidence to hang Henry Gawen Sutton, except he's already dead

Finding the missing organs, matched through DNA with relatives of the victims. Unless they're found with written documentation with undisputed provenance, it might still be unknown exactly who the killer was.

                    Solved to everyone's satisfaction?

                    No chance.

After 37 pages (and counting) we can't even reach a consensus as to whether Kate was wearing an apron!!

The thread can run to 137 pages, and it would be a safe bet that there still wouldn't be any agreement!

I say that as someone who would genuinely love to see it definitively solved too!!

The most plausible scenario would be some kind of family heirloom situation: not necessarily one of the missing organs preserved, but something indisputably from a murder scene or a credible confession.

I agree that many here would still reject it.
