Dear Vera...still with us, and living, I believe in Ditchling just up the road from my old stamping grounds...before we wander even further off topic, if you don't get that Velma, do PM me!

It is amazing though, doing the 84 Charing Cross Road thing in a pub, looking round and spotting/hearing the same old "types" that've always been there... such a shame the old street-corner boozers are dying out at such a rapid rate - three near me gone since the beginning of the year, and I think my own local's on the slippery slope....
