  • Liz Stride - Facts

He was interrupted is not a fact...most documentaries, book experts & criminologists draw this conclusion because it makes theory easier...it very well might be so...but it not fact...

Stride was killed in a hurry ,so as to get to Eddows before she was released from bishopsgate police station. Now thats a fact

How did he know when, or if, Eddowes would be released?

Eddows gave her name when she locked up as Mary Ann Kelly, she was mistaken for the last victim one Mary Jane KELLY . coincidence ? not a snowflakes chance in hell .

Her steady partner was named Kelly, and Ann and Mary were very common names. If she was making a deliberate link with the final victim she was wrong about the middle name, but people tend to conveniently overlook that.

Yes, this is absolutely correct. There's no evidence the killer was interrupted, and no evidence the killer was in a hurry.

Even if you argue that Stride was killed by BS Man- I have serious doubts about that-it's clear that this perpetrator didn't give a fig about the presence of witnesses, otherwise he wouldn't have assaulted Stride in front of two of them, and then brazenly shouted "Lipski", thereby demonstrating his utter contempt for the witnesses.

Whats been overlooked by many is the significant of the two names, not the reason behind them. The ripper perhaps thought in killing eddows he had eliminated his intended FINAL victim mary jane kelly .ive not heard any explanation as to why all four murders were committed in less than a month. Then 6 weeks later kelly was killed . Did jack go on holidays ? or have the flu ? or did he think he had already killed kelly . Till he found out she was still alive and then silence her for good knowing his work was finally over.

Strictly speaking, it may or may not be a fact. But you're right in that it has not been established either way.
That being said, as well as those you list above, several witnesses, many of the press and the investigating police also drew the same conclusion.

Its hardly been overlooked from Leonard Matters to Stephen Knight.

When you talk about the significance of the two names are you talking about Mary and Kelly? Why is Ann not significant? As Sam has said, these are hardly rare names. The conspiracy that your talking about has been done to death.

This is because we don’t know. There could have been any number of reasons: The killer could have been ill or injured. He could have been incarcerated. He might have had to have gone out of town on business. He might have been attending his sick mother.

Kate used 2 aliases in her last 24 hours, (pawn ticket, check-in at Bishopsgate), and within the combined names and addresses the following is present....Mary Jane Kelly, 6 Dorset St. Seems to me that the coincidence is more than just interesting, considering Kate is considered to be a Jack the Ripper victim by many, and Mary is the very next alleged Ripper victim.

That is pure speculation and no more a "fact" than a suggested interruption on Berner Street is.

She used Jane Kelly on the pawn ticket, and Mary Kelly at Bishopsgate. The fact that within the 2 names and addresses she gave in her last 24hrs there is Mary Jane Kelly of Dorset Street is remarkable considering Marys fate. In that it is presumed that Kate and Mary also shared a killer...something which I don't buy into myself, but it is potentially relevant data.

I've probably completely understood this post, but are you suggesting the possibility of a serial killer targeting women called Mary Jane? Because to be honest, that seems a tad unlikely to me.

                            Hi Fishy,

How did the Ripper know Eddowes would give her name as Mary Anne Kelly when she was released from the drunk tank? She gave it as "nothing" when she was taken in? And given you've said JtR rushed from Stride to get to Eddowes (thinking she was Mary Jane Kelly) and it appears Eddowes was released just shortly after Stride's murder, so again how did JtR know Eddowes was about to give the name Mary Anne Kelly?

                              Hello Fishy,

What is your theory on why Jack killed these particular women?
