    Hi Paul,

Judging by the above I can only say I'm very sorry I upset you so much. I'll tell you why I did that. The simple reason is that I am not very 'savvy' when it comes to all the various 'specialities' one can do when writing on this site. I can tell you that it took me at least half an hour of attempting to 'do it posh' and how I eventually wrote my mail was the best I could come up with. THIS IS THE TRUTH!

I would be very grateful if you could tell me how to do it 'properly' so that I don't upset you needlessly again. Thank you.

    Carol
You didn't upset me at all, Carol, it's simply that inserting answers within another person's message makes responding more protracted because one can't easily distinguish whose message it whose. To include the other person's post just click on the "Quote" button.

This is pure inflammatory nonsense on your part. As for imaginary 'Cartel members' being reduced to imaginary tears, well that's all in your head I'm afraid.

The police released the relevant murder files many years ago, before you even became interested in cashing in on the case.
Have you lost your sense of humour also

Its nothing to do with slurring those who conduct ripper walks.

If there were no Jack The Ripper there would be no Ripper walks would there. Would tourists still flock to see the sites of a series of unsolved murders of a similar nature

I do wish that you would write clearly, and in plain English.

Is this The CID crime register in its entirety and equivalant to The SB Register I see from what you have posted there are references to The Whitechapel Murders. Are these the only references or have you just posted sample extracts.

The statement that it is 'a good time for the MPS to come clean. What has kept 'all of this alive' for so many years is the mystery and romance that has attached to it, not to say all the cash it has generated in more modern times.

I think all of the aforementioned are very vaild reasons.
What are you left with a series of unsolved murders of a similar nature. You could loosely argue that the mutilations carried out on some of the victims warranted the killer of those being called "The Ripper" but not this myth surrounding Jack The Ripper which has kept all of this alive for 123 years.

Thanks. On that basis I don't see that the costs would be prohibitive. Authorities are not meant to charge more than the actual cost of copying. For example, the guidance is that they should normally charge only 10p for photocopying a sheet of A4. On that basis, I'd have thought the cost of copying the redacted version of the register shouldn't really be more than £200.
