    I think that many people who post to internet forums simply don't understand that just because one can find an image on the internet, that doesn't automatically make it OK to reproduce it elsewhere on the internet without permission or attribution.

    It's too bad that so many websites don't explain bother to explain those basic facts to their posters. I think the infringement is often unintentional.

    (It's also too bad that any future individuals who take their Ripper "facts" from the website in question are doomed to be hopelessly muddled!)

      I don't really think it's anyone's 'bad' to any great extent, Robert - for my part I don't tend to post on here much these days, but when I saw my image on there I was pretty sure it had come from Casebook, so I felt it only right to pop back and bring it up. I should have checked to make sure it hadn't already been brought up first. Always check your sources, kids - ironically good advice for anyone taking their info from that site, as Archaic rightfully says.
