    "1888" in the Press:

Just thought I would share a couple of links from internet sites picking up on 1888. For any interested parties...

    A COMIC BOOK BLOG.COM:
"Some of the best comics in the industry are found outside of Marvel or DC. We love to support independent comic book creators and here is the chance to help. 1888 is a graphic novel spearheaded by Wolfgang Parker, singer & songwriter to the band of the same name.

Kickstarter.com is a website that helps raise money and awareness for independent artists and creators, here you can pledge money to help get 1888 in print. There are perks to pledging beyond just knowing you’ve helped get a comic on the stands. For as low as $10 bucks you can can get updates, scripts, previews, and art along it’s path of making it to print and once completed you’ll get a PDF of the entire book. Think of it as buying the digital book plus all the updates you’ll get. For pledging more money the perks get better.

So…if interested check it out, and hopefully you’ll be seeing 1888 out there soon! To read more about how you can contribute to 1888 or just more about the comic visit HERE."

HORROR SOCIETY.com also picked it up HERE.

      "1888" in the press:

From the Columbus Alive newspaper (USA):

      By Chris DeVille

Wolfgang Parker laughs at the adage about teaching old dogs new tricks. Sixteen years after inventing a strain of hepcat hard rock known as punk-rock swing, Parker is enjoying a creative renaissance across several mediums.

Last year he tried photography for the first time and got a dozen photos published. His band is forging into new directions for the first time in years. Perhaps dearest to his heart these days is “1888,” the graphic novel he’s developing with illustrator John Amor.

Parker has been kicking around the “1888” story — a supernatural update on Jack the Ripper — for five years.

        This seems quite interesting.

Unforunately, I've been sucked dry by school and travel expenses, so besides saving up to buy Neal Shelden's book, which I've been doing for awhile now, there isn't much I can spend on books of personal interest.

However, I do wish you the greatest of luck.
