thanks corey, I shall try and find that one too.

Is it possible to donate to this site to help defray server costs?

I just noticed that the casebook has adverts from the very dodgy game evony.

Just do a web search for evony controversy and Bruce Everiss to see what I mean, although I do appreciate that a site with lots of traffic needs money desperatly. But I have doubts about Evony being a good source for that money.

      Doris,

Members give donations to the casebook.

Those with the words "Casebook Supporters" on their names means they have donated.

      Yours truly
      Washington Irving:

"To a homeless man, who has no spot on this wide world which he can truly call his own, there is a momentary feeling of something like independence and territorial consequence, when, after a weary day's travel, he kicks off his boots, thrusts his feet into slippers, and stretches himself before an inn fire. Let the world without go as it may; let kingdoms rise and fall, so long as he has the wherewithal to pay his bills, he is, for the time being, the very monarch of all he surveys. The arm chair in his throne; the poker his sceptre, and the little parlour of some twelve feet square, his undisputed empire. "

          Doris,

That is a fun game. I liked it quite a bit.

I don't know how you donate. Ask Stephen about it.

          Yours trully

              Doris,

Stephen is the owner of the site.

              Stephen Ryder.

You can go to the home page where there is a link to where you can email him.

Or you could just ask around. Others would know.

I would write off "KIPPER", it's had all the bones picked out of that one.

                Doris

I would also recommend "THE LONDON OF JACK THE RIPPER, THEN AND NOW"
by Robert Clack and Phillip Hutchinson.

Hi Doris. Yes you can help to defray server costs and that gets you a no advertisement account. I believe BUT DON'T KNOW FOR SURE! that 25 dollars in donations get you six months without any ads on Casebook.

I hate the freaking evony ad and have mentioned it to Stephen whenever I see it. He is aware and kills them when he finds it, but the problem is he buys "blocks" of advertisement and doesn't always know what is in the blocks. So evony sells to ADMAN ( fake name), he buys a chunk from adman and there's a evony ad in there. I think that's how it goes.

If you want to have a no ads account, you can contact Stephen and he'll set you up.

                  Let all Oz be agreed;

Unless mr Stephen could furnish me with details of a bank account and I could place money in that.
I have had pay pay 'issues' and I will never, ever use PP again.

thanks again for all your book suggestions.

I haven't been posting of late as the postie keeps bringing me packages from amazon and I have been spending 8 hours a day reading new ripper books.

I bought all the suggested ones apart from News from Whitechapel, "Jack the Ripper" as it was over 30 quid!

thanks again, ill be back shortly once I have read my way through my big book pile!

                        doris

I also ordered The Jack the Ripper Location Photographs: Dutfield's Yard and the Whitby Collection, just because I want to see a picture of dutfield's yard.

                          Doris,

Yes, it is a very expensive book... trust me it is well worth it. It is an amazing research tool.

                          Hope you have fun reading.

ah okay then chief, Ill buy it.

Ive had a jolly amusing hour or so.

Firstly I remember someone refering to 'crazy karen' whilst our pentagram friend was being discussed, then whilst looking at JtR books on amazon I encounter a female nutjob called Karen Trenouth who had a 'bad time' after revealing her genius ideas on this site, then I read her book reviews.

Good grief, I assume Karen trenouth and crazy karen must be one and the same. I wish I had 20 odd quid to waste on her vanity written book as it sounds so entertaining.

I want to read her posts here, what name did she use to post?
I found a mad NWO/mason rant written by reveal2u, who I assume is her. But I want to read more!
