i find it a little implausible too if im honest, however this is the only evidence ive ever read, so dont have much else to counter it with.
the only thing that does add up if of course the injuries sustained. personally i think it most likely that she knew her killer, and didnt realise how severe her injuries would turn out to be. but alas ive nothing to back that up other than her behaviour after the attack.if mickey's a mouse, and pluto's a dog, whats goofy?

Joel,
I've recently opened a thread about pre-canonical cases.
Precisely, about the common reasons Emma, Annie and Ada had to lie.
I sincerely believe that somebody without interest for the pre-canonical cases doesn't want to know who Jack is.
Believe me all: had Mary Kelly survived, she would have tried to lie about the circumstances of her attack.
As would the others would have done, of course.
Amitiés,
David

I have some evidences that you're a gentleman, more willing to find the Ripper than to elaborate a fashionable theory.

Thanks David!Glad to know I am not the only one who thinks that she was probably hiding something. Most likely that she had been soliciting that night.Thats what she avoided telling the doctors at the hospital, the truth about her "occupation".By saying thugs had attacked her, rather than one man ,she was able to make it look as though she had simply been attacked by strangers out of the blue!
Joe,
I agree. I think her injuries were very unusual even then. Those of a sadist most probably.
Best

A gentleman? Then I shall not disappoint. I certainly am more willing to do the above..
never been one into fashion, have always gone my own way. Schoolteachers hated it. LOL
And whatdo I do? Work at a school, ...oh the irony!
best wishes

I think it would be in the best interests of the folks that try and promote only a few killers overall in all the Whitechapel Murders...which are some 13 or 14 attacks/murders from 1888 to 1892....to assume that there were other killers in that group of victims....that there were indeed other killers killing at the very same time as Jack,... and almost certainly they killed for different reasons than he.
We know for a fact at least one Canonical was robbed and one wasn't mutilated....we know that Emma wasn't killed by 1 man, we know that Martha was killed by stabbing with 2 weapons making one killer highly improbable,...we can surmise that Ada might have been ripping off a client who stabbed her....Sadler almost certainly kills Francis but he is hardly the Ripper...Annie Farmer was hiding coins in her mouth she tried to nick from her client, ....Annie Millwood had someone stab her legs and derriere, making her a better match with Marthas killer than Annie Chapmans....Alice Mackenzie is killed after many Senior investigative authorities concluded the Ripper streak was over, and after many suggested the killer himself was incarcerated or dead.
How many assailants or killers are likely represented in those crimes.....3.....if you group the stabbings, 4, more?
How is it that we can know that other men attacked women with knives during that same Ripper period.......and yet the assumption is that they all were quiet when Jack kills his 5 women? Like they went on hiatus or something.
I suggests that other violent crimes by other violent criminals went on while the crimes being called Ripper murders took place, and theres no real reason to suspect otherwise.
Best regards all.Last edited by Guest; 01-03-2010, 02:16 AM.

agreed, agreed, agreed.
She's been assaulted in one of these well-known "secluded spots" of the district, doing her sad job.
Most certainly by ONE man.
Who was he?
This I don't know.

Thanks David,
Well the curious thing about poor Emma is that she seems to have attracted violent clients. The lodging house deputy said she regularly returned to her digs with a black eye and other injuries saying she had been thrown through a window on one occasion. Its just possible she sought clients who were into S&M.Difficult to know.Or it could simply have been that she was disputatious with clients when she had had too much to drink--- but the fact it had been reported several times that she sported bruises suggests she had gained a bit of a reputation for attracting clients who treated her even more roughly than usual and her fatal injury may have been an accident arising from a "game" gone wrong.

We dont and cant know for certain what Jack got up to with women and what other women he wen t with. For all we know he had all sorts of predilections concerning injuring women. Not all of them always with fatal consequences.
Cheers Mike and All the Best for 2010!
